Saving Money with Smart Meters

Cost savings and better energy choices start with knowledge. Put the new smart meter technology to work for you by learning how to manage your choices. Join Extension Educator Jay Solomon for an overview of the energy and cost saving opportunities opened by the recently installed electricity “Smart Meters”. Basics of the smart meter technology, accessing your energy information, proactively managing your energy use and cost, and ComEd consumer programs will be included in the discussion at the Saving Money with Smart Meters Workshop.
Saving Money with Smart Meters Workshop: Monday, December 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Stockton Public Library, 140 W. Benton Ave., Stockton, IL. This workshop is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested by calling the University of Illinois Extension at (815) 235-4125 or on-line at web.extension.illinoiss.edu/jsw.
University of Illinois Extension has received a grant to provide education about Smart Meters and energy efficiency from the Illinois Science and Energy Innovation Foundation. The grant is funding a statewide educational effort specifically focus toward consumers served by ComEd and Ameren Illinois. Environmental and Energy Stewardship Educator Jay Solomon leads the local and statewide effort.
