About University of Illinois Extension

Local educators provide programs and expertise in Local Food Systems and Small Farms, Horticulture, SNAP-education and 4-H Youth Development. An extended network of educators and specialists is available to assist you with other programming needs. Local program staff also deliver SNAP-Ed nutrition programming for qualified individuals and groups. Extension Master Gardener volunteers provide answers to your questions, and assist with horticulture education efforts in the unit. The 4-H program has more than 800 members in community clubs, and is expanding within the metro Springfield area. Please contact us so we may be of assistance.
