4-H Tech Wizards
We are a mentoring program for youth ages 8-17. We aim to serve youth typically under-represented in the fields of Science, Engineering, and Technology.
Involving youth in mentorship, significantly reduces absenteeism and recurring behavior issues in school, substance abuse and criminal activity—all significant indicators of future dropouts.
Tech Wizards meets Mondays and Thursdays at the UNITY Community Center Afterschool Program, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school at Cedar Ridge Elementary. Each night, youth explore future career and educational opportunities in Robotics, Film-Making, and Aeronautics, Programming, Photography, Electricity, GPS, and more!
