Back to School Party in 2011

SAVE THE DATE: The 2011 Back to School Party will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5-7 PM at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Many volunteers are welcome for a multitude of tasks; choose the task AND the time frame during which you wish to volunteer; make a difference in the lives of many youth by helping them to begin that first day of school ready to learn.

• Assist with Volunteer Coordination, pre-event or during the day of the event.
• Assist in identifying, contacting and staging collection sites throughout the community. (Help to "Stuff a Bus".)
• Assist with raising funds to purchase those supplies not donated, through grant writing and letter writing.
• Assist with promotion of the event and with media coverage of the event.
• Assist with sorting of school supplies as they accumulate, and with filling backpacks.
