Super Sempervirens Webinar Announced

The Four Seasons Gardening program from University of Illinois Extension starts the year with Super Sempervivums. The program will be hosted by Livingston County Master Gardeners at the University of Illinois  Extension Offices.

Sempervivums, also called houseleeks, live forever or hens & chicks are colorful perennial succulents surging in popularity. Sempervivums and close relatives grow rosettes of fat leaves that store water enabling them to live in arid/drought conditions. They are easy to grow and can be used in containers, baskets, living wreaths and simply planted in the garden. Martha Smith, Horticulture Educator, University of Illinois Extension will introduce you to this interesting group of plants and their close relatives.
