4-H in McLean County

How do I join a 4-H or Cloverbud Club?

McLean County 4-H is organized into clubs throughout the county, based either on where members live or projects they choose to take. Volunteer adult leaders help to lead the clubs, provide organization and adult supervision for the various club activities. They also help to provide educational opportunities for the members, and chances for leadership and citizenship development. All 4-H clubs are open to youth ages eight to eighteen.

We also offer our Cloverbud program. Cloverbud clubs are for our younger youth between the ages of five and seven (as of September 1). Cloverbud clubs focus on teamwork and group activities in a variety of curriculum areas. Like 4-H groups, they meet once a month. While Cloverbuds do not compete in individual projects at the McLean County Fair, they do have opportunities to exhibit club projects.

Check out our interactive Google map to see our 4-H and Cloverbud clubs.  You may contact the leader for more information about their club. On average, most clubs meet once a month. If you have any questions, or would like to know which club would be the best fit for you, contact the McLean County Extension office at (309) 663-8306 and ask for Callie Cummings. She will help you find a 4-H club!
