Training dates for Spring 2015 are now available.

Interested in working with youth?

Tutoring, internships, and/or teaching opportunities are available!
During the school year, Monday-Friday, anytime between 3-7 pm. Summer, 11am-5pm on most days.
All volunteerse must attend a 1.5 hour volunteer training and be background screened. Volunteers must register for training before attending a session.

What does tutoring look like during the school year?
We work to provide youth with a supportive environment that will help them develop the tools they need for academic success. One model of what this might look like can be found here.

Other Volunteer opportunities
When: Monday- Friday 12pm to 3pm during the school year
What: Planning lessons, organizing materials, cleaning, packing food boxes, garden management assistance, and large group service projects are available.

 

STATE FARM EMPLOYEES:
Through the Good Neighbor Grant Program, the State Farm Companies Foundation awards a $500 grant on behalf of each eligible State Farm associate (active employee, agent, or retiree) who volunteered a minimum of 40 hours per calendar year to an eligible nonprofit organization (like the Unity Community Center).
