The Woodford County Master Gardeners has been in existence since 2002. It consists of local citizens with a personal interest in growing plants, a drive to increase their knowledge of horticulture, and a desire to share that expertise with others.

To be a Master Gardener, individuals must complete special training offered by the Woodford County Extension office. Additionally, theyagree to serve their neighbors and communities by providing a certain number of volunteer hours participating in various projects and activities sponsored by the group.
