Master Gardener Middle School Garden Teaches Kids Hands-on Horticulture

The Germantown Hills Middle School Learning Garden was built in the large empty courtyard of the school. Master Gardeners designed eight garden areas.  High school students helped bring in compost and mulch by wheelbarrow. Next the bones were added- trees shrubs and perennials. The Sherman Hospital Community Gardens were built in 2011 to improve the health and eating habits of hospital employees, volunteers and guests.
