Four Seasons Webinar Series Announced

University of Illinois Extension offices in Collinsville and Waterloo will be hosting a series of gardening webinars to help you prepare for the gardening season. You may learn from our horticulture experts from the comfort of your home computer or come to our office to participate in this live event with others in attendance. The webinars will also be recorded and shared on the University of Illinois Extension’s YouTube channel for later viewing as well.

How to Have Healthy Houseplants will be the February topic. Rhonda Ferree, Extension Horticulture Educator will provide simple tips to select and care for houseplants. After this program, even those with “Brown garden thumbs” will know how to have healthy houseplants through their home. This session will be on Tuesday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m.

March 7 at 1:30 p.m., will bring us Moth Orchids—Start an Orchid Odyssey. As the most highly evolved flowers on earth, orchids are an amazingly diverse plant family growing in deserts, mountains, marshes, northern woods, Illinois forests, and even our homes. If you are looking for an easy-to-grow elegant houseplant, moth orchids are a great option. In this webinar, state Master Gardener Coordinator, Sandy Mason, will help you learn how to grow,
