"Cook? Yes I Can!" summer program served as an early intervention, hands-on training camp for the youth in Madison-St Clair County. The goal of the camp was to have youth ages 6 to 16 become acquainted with how to choose and prepare healthy food for themselves and their families. As part of choosing healthy food, the participants were taught to plant and care for their own tomato plants. The participants also gained knowledge and experience engaging in regular physical activity.
