How Are Credit Scores Determined?

Each credit bureau uses its own method to determine the credit score they issue.  Because of this, the numbers will not be the same.  However, all of the scores are developed using a similar method, such as Fair Isaac.  Lenders may use their own scoring systems as well.

The example below shows the scoring method that each of the credit bureaus uses and the credit score range.
