June weather

June weather data from the NWIARDC is summarized here (Table). Like every other month in 2012, June had below normal precipitation, with 0.62 fewer inches than the monthly average of 4.49 inches. The total departure from normal for the year as of the end of June is 5.18 inches.

The extremely high temperatures of the past several weeks started in July. In June, the average high temperature was 2 degrees above normal and average low temperature was 1 degree below normal (Table).
