Host Richard Hentschel interviews Commercial Ag Educator Russ Higgins and how the weather pattern from 2012 to 2013 has changed how farmers have had to plant their crops in N. Illinois. Russ talks about how far behind planting is and right now about a month. The typical planting starts with Field Corn, Moves on to Soybeans. The early corn has had some challenges with good root development because of the wetter soils.
