Air-carrier sprayers use a fan to develop a high-speed and/or high volume stream of air that carries the pesticide solution from the spray nozzles to the plant. Because this equipment uses air to move the pesticide, frequently less water is used than with standard hydraulic (fluid) sprayers. These applications are called "concentrate," because they deliver the same amount of pesticide using less water than hydraulic applications. Thus, the spray solution is more concentrated (less water, same amount of pesticide). Below is some information developed that discusses such applications.
