Aare you a beginning cook or interested in lerning to cook? Rookie Cooking will help you learn basic cooking techniques, bakeing, measuring, and reading a recipe. Safe use of small applicances and the oven will be covered while preparing your morning snack and lunch. Bring your apron and your appetite. Program is for ages 8-12 on Tuesday, June 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 4-H Extension Center on the Charleston Fairgrounds. Extension staff in Coles County will be the instructors. U of I Extension in Coles County is partnering with Lake Land Summer College for Kids to offer this class. There is a fee of $20. To register call 234-5434.
