This event is located in Clay County.

Location:

Clay County Health Department
601 East 12th Street
Flora, IL 62839
Description: Do you enjoy pets and want to learn more how you can help?

We have just the opportunity! 4-H is partnering with the Clay County Health Department's Animal Control Department to offer a NEW 4-H Club which will meet at the health department. Members will learn how to care for pets, will walk dogs on the center's walking trail, will assist at Pet Adoption Events and will learn about such cool things as pet micro-chipping, vaccinations, and more! Don't worry, moms; youth will not be asked to foster any of the pets up for adoption.

The club will begin at 1 PM Saturday, June 23 at the Health Department. Additional club meetings will be held:

· June 30

· July 7

· July 21

· July 28

· August 4

We should finish up the first meeting about 2:30 PM.

There is no cost to current 4-H club members to join, but we want you to INVITE all your friends to join the fun. A $20 program fee paid at the first meeting will cover any new members for 1 YEAR and lets them become a 4-H MEMBER just like you!

To help us prepare, call the office at 618-662-3124 by June 20.
