Living on the Land

Do you know ...

…  how to make a little money from your property?

…  what soils you have?

…  how to protect your drinking water well?

…  how often your septic system should be cleaned?

…  what weeds are in your pond?

…  how often to test your water?

…  how to manage pastures to reduce livestock feed costs?

…  how to transform lawn into native prairies to decrease mowing?

Want to learn more?

If you do, then we have the program for you! “Living on The Land” (LOL) program is  designed to help you manage your small acreage better. The goal is to assist small acreage owners in being good stewards of their property and the environment by conserving natural resources and protecting water by developing a long-term plan for their property.  Using whole farm planning you will look at the assets you have and evaluate opportunities to make some money from your property.

This seven week Living on the Land Course will cover the following topics:
