Cheryl Timmermann is the 4-H Program Coordinator for Clinton County. Cheryl facilitates the planning of educational activities in the 4-H/ Youth Development area. Cheryl is responsible for coordinating 4-H activities for club leaders, volunteers and youth throughout Clinton County. She is a resource for teachers that would like to utilize U of I programs in their classroom. Cheryl’s primary goal is to ensure that all youth have the opportunity to learn & grow with 4- H and U of I Extension programs; she assists with the development of marketing plans and goals to recruit participants for educational activities as well as Volunteer recruitment and training for those that serve the Clinton County youth. Cheryl coordinates the logistics and activities for the youth programs; including guidelines to insure the safety and welfare of participants. Cheryl provides many leadership opportunities for today’s youth through workshops, camps and trainings.
Cheryl attended Hickey Business School and later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University through their Adult Advanced Evening program. Born and raised in Clinton County, Cheryl loves her small town world. Her career lead her to jobs in St. Louis for over 10 years but she is glad to be working close to home again. Cheryl & her husband Brent reside in St. Rose with their two children Cole & Alaina.
Cheryl's contributes her success to 20 years of business experience which included working for Macys and American Red Cross. Her strongest skills are marketing, event planning, organization, communication and customer service. Cheryl is a 4-H Alumni and contributes the leadership skills she learned as a 4-H President to her success. In her past experience with the American Red Cross, she has proven track record building relationships and training volunteers, educating them on the importance of giving back. She is a dedicated event planner and passionate volunteer who believes in helping others. As an avid volunteer she is currently serving several organizations: Zambia Tomorrow- Regional Coordinator, St. Rose Development Club-5K Chairman and Leaps of Love-Volunteer.
Cheryl enjoys helping others to ensure their success and growth. Knowing that she can help youth and volunteers learn something because of a program she provides is the motivation behind everything she does. The smile on someone’s face says it all! She is excited to make U of I Extension, volunteers and the youth of Clinton County part of her family and she is looking forward to building relationships and serving them. Cheryl welcomes new ideas and can’t wait to meet you!
