Membership Policies
Any person, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, or disability may enroll as a 4-H member.
- Youth who are five through seven years of age on or before September 1 of the current year may enroll in 4-H Cloverbud groups. (Note that not all counties offer the Cloverbud program. Check with your local extension office.)
- Youth who are eight years of age and have not reached their nineteenth birthday on or before September 1 of the current year may enroll in 4-H clubs and groups.
- Persons considered to be mentally challenged and older than the eligibility age for 4-H club membership may participate fully in 4-H.
