Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group

Perhaps you are a grandparent who takes care of your grandchildren so the parents can work. Perhaps you are a grandparent who is seeking visitation rights with your grandchildren. If you are, then you are not alone. Seven million children are being raised in grandparent headed households throughout the U.S. There are an estimated 1300 grandfamilies in McHenry County.

 Being a grandparent today brings many challenges. Support group monthly meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of the month. We meet from 2:00-4:00pm at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 932 McHenry Ave. in Crystal Lake.
