Schaumburg Barn
231 Civic Drive
Schaumburg, IL 60193 (Cook County)
The Village of Schaumburg in partnership with Greater Chicago Food Depository have come together to provide free, nutritious food, including fresh produce. The food will be distributed weekly at a convenient accessible location where older adults can receive linkages to other nutrition and wellness resources in their community.
The goal is to encourage healthy eating and living among low-income older adults by offering healthy cooking demonstrations and nutrition education program opportunities. In addition, provide access to information about, and participation in, the federal SNAP program.
INEP staff will be on site providing food demonstrations as well as recipes.
The program is exclusively for all registered Schaumburg residents.
If you would like us to offer this program at your organization please contact
