Advanced Strategies for SNAP/LINK Programs at your Farmers Market - PART III
April 24, 2017 (12:30 PM )
Presented by Corey Chatman, Program Manager, The Experimental Station
Offered twice on April 24: 12:30pm - 2:30pm CST and again at 6:30pm - 7:30pm CST
A successful SNAP program requires much more than a “build it and they will come” philosophy. This webinar will not only discuss ways to attract more SNAP customers to your farmers market but also will cover marketing strategies to promote your program along with methods of recruitment and education of partners to act as advocates. Learn how to educate the general public, elected officials, and stakeholders and turn that knowledge into successful outreach to connect with SNAP beneficiaries outside your market. Corey will discuss low-cost innovative ad campaigns utilizing social media, targeted emails, engaging posters and more, plus there will be plenty of time for questions.
These webinars, offered by Illinois Farmers Market Association, are free of cost and open to anyone. For each subject, you may choose between a daytime or evening presentation. This webinar series is provided in partnership with the Illinois Farmers Market Association, University of Illinois Extension, Illinois Stewardship Alliance, and The Experimental Station.
The webinars will be presented using Skype for Business, which can be installed at no cost on your computer. Detailed instructions will be provided prior to each webinar to all registrants. You may also participate by telephone and listen to the webinars, using the number provided.
