Learn about Earth-Kind® landscaping practices that help protect the environment, conserve water and more during free webinar
Spring is a perfect time to reevaluate your garden and landscape to make improvements. Join University of Illinois Extension and the Decatur Rose Society for a live webinar featuring Randy Nelson, Clay County Horticulture Educator at University of Minnesota Extension. Randy has worked with Earth-Kind® Environmental Landscape Management System since 2008 and the America Rose Trials for Sustainability since 2015. He will discuss Earth-Kind® and other adaptive plants. He will also discuss how proper plant selection can reduce water and pesticide usage.

By taking a systematic approach to landscaping, you can help to conserve and protect natural resources while maintaining the functionality and quality of your landscape. Earth-Kind® landscaping is a system developed by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service that combines organic and conventional landscaping practices with a focus on environmental responsibility. The goal of Earth-Kind® is to encourage water conservation, reduce fertilizer and pesticide use, conserve energy and recycle landscaping waste.

This live webinar is 7-8pm April 16, 2018 at the Macon County Extension Office located at 3351 N. President Howard Brown Blvd. in Decatur.
