Illinois Food Protection Manager Certification

The Illinois Department of Public Health Food Sanitation Code (section 750.540) requires food service establishments to be under the operational supervision of a certified food service sanitation manager. This course meets the 8-hour coursework and examination required by the State of Illinois for the Illinois Food Protection Manager Certification, which is required every 5 years. Topics include introduction to food safety, contamination, employee health and hygiene, safe food handling, cleaning and sanitizing, and HACCP. 

This class will meet for two sessions on January 29 and 31, 2018. The first session will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the second session will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Woodford County Extension Office, 109 E. Eureka Ave., Eureka, IL 61530. There will be a 30 minute lunch break. Please bring a photo ID.

There is a program fee of $124 per person (2 sessions). This fee is for the purchase of the book, examination and materials. Please contact our office at (309) 467-3789 if you wish to take the exam in a language other than English. You must notify us at least 3 weeks prior to the start of class.
