Spend May 20 in St. Louis at 4-H Day with the Cardinals
Very soon children, young and old, will return to the ball diamonds. Don't miss your chance to party with the St. Louis Cardinals at this year's 4-H DAY WITH THE CARDINALS, Saturday, May 20. The Cardinals will play the San Francisco Giants in a 6:15 game in Busch Stadium. But, the fun begins even before then! 4-H members and their parents and leaders are invited to parade ON THE BALL FIELD before the game—that's right, you'll be able to walk around the diamond, watch the players warm up, and may even be lucky enough to get some autographs from the players!

Tickets usually sell out long before the April 10 deadline. Do it today! All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt along with their ticket for $25 each. You could throw out the first pitch of the game, get an autographed baseball, or win other great prizes! 4-H'ers who participate in the 4-H raffle will have a chance at these great prizes. Each person who completes Section B of the order form will receive one chance to be selected for every $1 they donate to the 4-H Day with the Cardinals Raffle Fund.
It's really a day to remember for your 4-H family. Groups who wish to sit together must mail their ticket order in the same envelope to guarantee they sit together. Ticket orders MUST be postmarked by April 10, 2017. Tickets and t-shirts will be mailed on May 8. Tickets are for Pavilion seating. New exhibit option in every project in 2017
This exhibit class will replace Career Connections
We know that 4-H prepares you for the future… and now, we're adding an exhibit class that lets you show off business opportunities and careers you could have based on your 4-H project! The Ready4Life Challenge class is available in EVERY 4-H project and open to any 4-H member who was at least 11 years old last September.
Here is the exhibit description:
Exhibits in this category must include the following: a) a physical representation of the career or business product such as a model, prototype or display/portfolio that includes images of accomplished work; b) verbal or written explanations that demonstrate knowledge of the related career or business fields, potential careers, and the appropriate requirements for achievement in those fields. The judging criteria for this class values thoroughness of career and/or business exploration and pursuit above the workmanship of the physical specimen on display.
Have you started a business based on a 4-H project? Have you interviewed professionals in your 4-H project area? Have you considered marketing a product you make related to 4-H? We've added state fair exhibit entries for these new Ready4Life exhibits. Start thinking today!
