Extension Host Maker Kid 3-D Printing Workshops in Hillsboro

University of Illinois Extension and Montgomery County 4-H hosted “Maker Kid” workshops in Hillsboro on Monday, June 6. Kids ages 7-10 from throughout Montgomery County attended the programs and experimented with design programs and 3-D printers. Maker Kid is designed to excite and inspire children in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) through 3-D printing sessions. Participants worked with the Tinkercad design program and 3-D printed their creations. Youth were also able to get hands on experience using a 3-D Pen.
