Lizzy Conrady Joins U of I Extension Staff as Macoupin & Jersey County SNAP-ED Community Worker

Amanda Cole, Unit 18 County Extension Director, is pleased to introduce Lizzy Conrady as the new Macoupin & Jersey SNAP-ED Community Worker. (SNAP stands for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, provided by the USDA.) Conrady will be working throughout Macoupin & Jersey Counties to provide nutrition educational programming.

Conrady is a 2015 graduate of University of Illinois with a degree in crop sciences. Originally from Woodford County, she married her husband Jason and moved to Macoupin County after graduation. Lizzy is no stranger to University of Illinois Extension, having worked previously as extra help in the Woodford, Jersey, and Macoupin County Extension offices.

“I am excited for this opportunity with Extension and look forward to working with the communities in both Jersey and Macoupin counties,” Conrady said, adding that, “I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting started with programs soon.”  Anyone interested in contacting Lizzy may reach her at the Macoupin County Extension office by calling 217-854-9604 or emailing
