4-H Swine Show Held at Macoupin County Fairgrounds

The 4-H Swine Show kicked off the Macoupin County Fair on Wednesday, July 5. Young pork producers had the opportunity to showcase their hard work with their animals and compete for awards.  Members were judged on their showmanship, fitting, and overall care of their animals.

Kade Knapp of Iowa served as swine show judge and Cindy Stayton of Carlinville served as superintendent for this year’s 4-H Swine Show. The following members were given awards for their projects:

Other 4-H members receiving blue ribbons for their projects were Trenton Clevenger of Hettick; Emily Barr, Sara Wiese, and Sam Wiese of Carlinville; Emma Kallal of Palmyra; and Nicholas Spencer of Gillespie.
