2008 4-H Club International Night
On March 18, 100 4-H members and their families explored the world at the 4-H Intercultural Night. 4-H clubs brought displays and finger foods depicting the country they researched. The clubs and countries represented were: Bunker Hill Livewires, Jamaica; Clever Clovers, Luxemburg; Clover Cadets, Kenya; Four By Four, Australia; Lucky Birds; China; Lucky Bunch, Israel; Mt Olive, Ancient Egypt; Quad Squad, Peru; Piasa Birds, Haiti; Stauntoneers, India.
Guest Speakers from three countries shared their experiences with the clubs. Herald from Switzerland talked to the members about his country and way of life. Ryoichi Inove from Japan explained during his talk that school was not as strict in United States than in Japan. Juan from Mexico told everyone about his schooling in Mexico. Herald, Ryoichi and Juan are exchange students living with families and attending school in the Staunton area.
