Workshop Series to Focus on Brain Health
September 7, 2017
When you think about health, wellness, and fitness, most likely you will think about your physical health, exercise, or nutrition. It is certainly important to take care of our bodies physically as we get older. However, as we age, it is equally important to consider the health and fitness of our brain. You are never too young or old to start practicing brain “fitness.”
The University of Illinois Extension will be offering a three-session Brain Health workshop in October at the Polo Public Library, 302 West Mason Street, Polo. The sessions of the series will be held on Thursdays, October 5th, 12th, and 19th from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the library. This interactive series is designed to understand the brain as one matures and is full of tips and strategies to improve and maintain brain function. Contributors to brain health as well as activities to challenge the brain will be discussed.
The workshop series is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. To pre-register or for more information, visit the University of Illinois Extension event calendar online at go.illinois.edu/polobrainhealth or call 815-632-3611.
