Hi, I'm a senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. I am working with the University of Illinois Extension this summer researching community gardens and helping with the community and school gardens around the city. My specific interests are restoration ecology and conservation of resources, specifically of the soil. After I finish my bachelor's degree, I want to be an environmental educator in non-formal education at a nature center, extension office, or national park.

Hi! I am senior in Human and Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champiagn. I hope to obtain a masters and doctorate in occupational therapy in the near future. I am interested in horticulture therapy and how agriculture can be incorporated into therapy and treatment for patients. This summer, I am working with the University of Illinois Extension and will be researching the facilitators and barriers to sustainability of school gardens in Chicago. I look forward to volunteering and learning more about community and school gardens.
