The Great Corn Adventure

On a farm 50 years ago, most corn was stored on the ear in corn cribs. The crib was built to allow air to circulate so it could dry. Today corn is shelled, meaning the kernels are taken off the cob. The kernels are then stored in a grain bin. The corn is dried to 15 percent moisture with large dryers.
