Cacti and Succulent Container Gardening - Hands on Horticulture with Hart

University of Illinois Extension’s Candice Hart Hosting Hands-on Horticulture Series

Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Hart continues her how-to gardening series Hands-on Horticulture with Hart on July 25 with Cacti and Succulent Container Gardening. Succulent container gardens require almost no maintenance and are perfect inside in the winter and outside during the summer. Join Hart as she discusses how to plant water-wise cacti and succulent container gardens perfect for our hot and dry summer months.

Cost is $30 and participants will leave with a succulent garden to take home.

This program will meet at the University of Illinois Extension Office located at 3351 N. President Howard Brown Blvd. in Decatur from 6-7:30pm. Advance registration is required by July 19 by visiting or call 217.935.5764 for more information.

Upcoming topics in the Hands-on Horticulture with Hart series are Cut Flower Gardening in August and Fall Bulbs in September.
