News Release

DeWitt County - Hands-on Horticulture Series continues in August with Cut Flower Gardening

Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Hart continues her how-to gardening series Hands-on Horticulture with Hart on August 14 with Cut Flower Gardening. Cut flower gardening can be an easy endeavor to increase flowers in the garden while also displaying a beautiful vase to decorate your home. Join Hart and learn how to grow cut flowers, their benefit to your garden and how to condition them to last longer.

This program will meet at the DeWitt County Extension Office located at 8425 Katie Rd. in Clinton from 6-7:30pm. Cost for this program is $25 and participants will leave with a vase of garden flowers to take home. Advance registration is required by August 3 by visiting or calling 217.935.5764. Please contact Candice at 217.935.5764 or for more information.

Upcoming topics in the Hands-on Horticulture with Hart series are Fall Bulbs in September and Utilizing Dried Flowers from the Garden in October.
