University of Illinois Extension’s Hands-on Horticulture Series continues in September with Fall Bulbs – A Head Start for a Beautiful Spring in Macon County

Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Hart continues her how-to gardening series Hands-on Horticulture with Hart on September 26 with Fall Bulbs. Fall is the time to be thinking about spring blooming bulbs! Learn how to plant, divide, store and identify various spring flowering bulbs, tubers and corms. Each participant will go home with a container garden layered with bulbs ready to pop up next spring.

This program will meet at the Macon County Extension Office located at 3351 N. President Howard Brown Blvd. in Decatur from 6-7:30pm. Upcoming topics in the Hands-on Horticulture with Hart series are Utilizing Dried Flowers from the Garden in October and Kokedama String Gardens in November.
