All of today’s dog breeds are descendants from the wolf. Archeologists have evidence that dogs were domesticated about 15,000 years ago. Dogs have been with us for a long time!
At first all dogs looked the same. As time passed, dogs began to evolve to perform certain jobs like hunting, herding cattle or sheep, or serving as guards.
