What You Should Do
- Leave the dog alone.
- A mother dog is protective of her puppies and does not like to be disturbed.
- Ask an adult if it is okay for you to play with one of the puppies or have them bring the puppy to you.
- The puppies may not be old enough to be away from their mother yet, even for a little playtime. Puppies, no matter what their age, are small and fragile, and you need to be gentle when holding and playing with them.
