4-H Recognition for Excellence Awards, Award Applications and 4-H Project Goal Sheets
- 4-H Veterinary Science Award Application
This award recognizes youth that have enrolled and demonstrated mastery in the 4-H Veterinary Science project for a minimum of three years. Open to youth who are 15 to 18-years-old as of September 1, 2016 and currently enrolled in the 4-H Vet Science project. Winners will receive a $200 cash prize. Awarded once in a 4-H member’s career.

- Excell Club Award Application
Any club enrolled with their local Extension Office by August 1 of the calendar year in which they are submitting an application is eligible to apply. The application should reflect the involvement of club members and leaders working together as a team toward the accomplishment of a common goal. The activities and projects must relate to the specific award category and must be completed from September 1 of the previous year to August 31 of the year in which the application is being completed.
- I Dare You Award Application
The I Dare You Leadership Award is given to a 4-H member/members who exemplifies personal integrity, balanced living and motivation for leadership. The Award was first offered in 1941 by William Danforth, founder of Ralston Purina Company in St. Louis, who dared young people to achieve their highest potential and to influence others through lives of service. Members must be at least 16 years of age to apply.
- IL 4-H Award Application
Open to 4-H members’ age 15 to 18-years-old as of September 1, 2016. May apply in any of the award areas. Awarded once in a 4-H member’s career. Due to your local county Extension office.
- IL Farm Bureau & Affiliates 4-H Premier LCP Award Application
This award recognizes youth who have excelled in demonstrating leadership, citizenship, and professionalism in the 4-H work on a local, state, and national level. Open to 4-H members 17 to 19-years-old as of December 1, 2016. Winner will receive a plaque and invitation to Premier 20 Conference. Awarded once in a 4-H member's career. Application is due to the Extension Office no later than January 3, 2017.
