Small, bell shaped flowers, creamy with red lines, mid to late spring; summer foliage is dark green with red leafstalks; autumn color is red.

Full sun to shade; moist, well-drained soils; needs acid soils.

  • 'Red Bells' - Fwers have more red in them.
  • 'Showy Lantern' - Solid pink flowers, dark green foliage, good red fall color.
  • var. sikokianus- Dark red flowers with pink streaks.
