Glossy, evergreen foliage. Purple or lavendar flowers in spring.

Full sun to shade. Best growth occur with at least some shade. Moist, well drained soils.

  • 'Alba'- white flowers.
  • 'Atropurpurea'- burgundy flowers.
  • 'Bowles Variety'- larger, blue flowers; spreads more slowly.
  • 'Sterling Silver'-leaves have a creamy white edge.
