Features

Clumping, evergreen sedge with green leaves edged in silver white. The plant has an arching habit with leaves growing to 24 inches long.

This is a clumping cool season sedge.

 
 
Culture
Prefers moist, rich soil in partial shade. Can also tolerate dense shade and sun. In full sun and hot sites foliage tends to bleach to an unattractive yellow. 
 
Cultivars

'Variegata' 12" name applied to all unamed selections with white leaf margins.

'Fischers Form' 10" Broad leaves with creamy white stripe.

'Silver Scepter' 12" narrow leaves with white edges forming thick heavy clumps. Drough tolerant.

'Ice Dance' 12" improved form of 'Variegata' more vigorouos, better groundcover, drough tolerant.

'Gold Band' 12" creamy yellow leaf margins. Improved color to older variegated types.

'Temnolipsis' 6" narrow white margins on very thin leaves.
