One of the tallest grasses with very coarse textured blue-green foliage and tall stately plumes.
This is a clump forming warm season grass.
Prefers moist, well-drained soil in a sunny location. Drought tolerant. Too much water and fertilizer will result in plants that are loose and open with very weak flower stalks.

Often called hardy pampas grass and looks like pampas grass but has a lot coarser texture. Needs to be cut back in the spring prior to new growth starting to keep it clean looking. Will die out in the center as it ages so needs occasional division.
