Scholarships

  • 4-H Federation Scholarship PDF
    The Jo Daviess County 4-H Federation Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to Jo Daviess County 4-H members that are dedicated to continuing their education after the completion of high school. Scholarships of $500.00 will be given to qualified 4-H members as long as funds permit. Eligibility: *Must be a current Jo Daviess County 4-H member for year of application *Must have been a Jo Daviess County 4-H member for four consecutive years (including application year) *Must be enrolled in a two or four year program *Must be accepted at chosen school, college, or university *Must be full-time student, 12 hours minimum per semester; auditing of classes cannot be included in the minimum *Scholarship recipients or a representative if recipient cannot participate must help with clean-upon Monday morning immediately following the Elizabeth Community Fair. Must contact the food stand chairman prior to the 4-H Fair to make arrangements.

  • 4th Annual Celebrating High School Innovators Competition
    Illinois State University, Millikin University, and Pontiac Township High School are presenting the 4th Annual Celebrating High School Innovators competition (CHSI). The competition identifies, fosters and celebrates Illinois high school students whose contributions are exceptional and inspirational. We know that Illinois 4-H prepares you to solve problems and produces leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, stewards, and builders. We want to celebrate you and reward you for your brilliance in one or more of the following areas: • arts, media & literature • business entrepreneurship • social entrepreneurship • health & nutrition • science, technology, engineering & math (STEM).

    The Illinois 4-H Program provides several different ways for members to apply for educational scholarships. All of these scholarship programs are available on a competitive basis.

  • Joyce Betz Memorial Scholarship PDF
    TEACH Outdoors is an Illinois NFP funded solely by donations. This scholarship was funded by donations from the friends and family of Joyce Betz for the amount of $1,000. TEACH Outdoors would like to say thank you to our donors for helping us to honor Joyce and her legacy. This scholarship is open ONLY to 4-H members.

  • TEACH Outdoors, Inc. Scholarship PDF
    TEACH Outdoors, Inc. is awarding an educational scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of $500.00. The scholarship will be awarded directly to a student who is furthering his or her education by attending college, a university or trade school. All applicants received will be considered for this award. TEACH Outdoors Executive Board Members and the immediate families of board members are not eligible for the scholarship.

  • Youth Action Award
    The Youth in Action Award honors four 4-H members who have gained critical life skills through their 4-H experience and have used those skills to overcome a challenge or challenges they have faced. Each of the honorees epitomizes 4-H youth empowerment and leadership. In addition, the winners have demonstrated the positive impact they’ve made with their family, peers, and community through their 4-H experiences. Nominate outstanding 4-H members in four different categories: Agriculture, Civic Engagement, Healthy Living, and STEM. Each winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship for higher education, be featured as the 4-H youth spokesperson for their pillar area, receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to be recognized at National 4-H Council’s Legacy Awards, and network with celebrities and prominent 4-H alumni.
