Local youth invited to join the 4-H Junior Gardener Club
May 24, 2018
University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners and Winnebago County 4-H are offering a 4-H Junior Gardener Club to teach youth all about gardening this summer. The 4-H Junior Gardener Club is open to all youth ages 8-12 and will meet for six sessions on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. between June 12 and August 7.
U of I Extension Master Gardeners Jeff & Judy White will teach participants what makes plants grow, how to get their garden ready, how to start seeds, and what to feed your plants. Participants will also get to build their very own grow box to take home with them.
All youth ages 8-12 are welcome to join the 4-H Jr. Gardener Club. The cost of this 6-session program is $30 per participant, and the deadline to register is Friday, June 8th. For more information or to register for this program, please contact the U of I Extension office at (815) 986-4357 or visit our website http://web.extension.illinois.edu/jsw/.
If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this program, please contact the local Extension office at 815-986-4357.
