Lori Tessendorf has worked as the 4-H Program Coordinator in Stephenson County since 2010. Her duties include managing the 4-H database, tracking 4-H enrollment trends, planning events and clinics and organizing 4-H shows at the Fair. Lori’s focus is on recruiting volunteers, as well as educating and recruiting area youth through educational and leadership training programs including Earth Day, Keepers of the Land, Science Siesta, Teen Conference, 4-H Camp, the 4-H Shooting Sports program and other Special Interest (SPIN) Clubs.
Lori grew up in Eleroy, IL and graduated from Lena-Winslow High School. She worked at Honeywell, Micro Switch Div. for 11 years in Customer Service before moving to Phoenix where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Arizona State University. After graduating from ASU, she was a Territory Sales Rep with Hormel Foods in the Grocery Products division selling Chili and SPAM across Iowa and Kansas. After moving back to Freeport, she became the Corporate Accounts Director with Seaga Manufacturing handling the Sam’s Club account in Mexico. Lori is a certified Advisor with the National Pork Board and has completed the Certificate in Nonprofit Management course from Rockford University.
