Lake County Association for Home & Community Education (LCAHCE) is a non profit organization giving women an opportunity for increasing personal growth, leadership development, and community involvement.

Lessons for Living are Educational Programs provided at no cost (unless stated otherwise) by the University of Illinois Extension Educators in cooperation with the Lake County Association for Home and Community Education (HCE). All programs are held at the University of Illinois Extension, 100 South U.S. Highway 45 in Grayslake. Call the Extension office for reservations or for more information, at 847-223-8627.

    Welcome to Illinois Association for Home and Community Education Illinois Association for Home and Community Education has approximately 9,000 members. Through the years, our organization has changed to continue/progress with the current times, trends or needs. It was first known as Home Bureau Federation for farm wives. Today, we are Home & Community Education with our goal being education for home and community. We work to promote social and economic well being in our homes and neighborhoods. We are not our Mother’s Home Bureau anymore.
