  • Horse Scholarship - Illinois State Fair Jr. Horse Show PDF
    This scholarship application is open to currently enrolled 4-H and FFA members who are in their senior year of high school or freshman year of college AND who have exhibited at the State Fair Jr. Horse Show at least once within the past THREE years. Applications are in type-in .pdf format; hand-written applications will not be accepted. Application submissions must be postmarked by September 15, 2018 in order to be accepted for judging. Scholarship awards will vary in number and amounts depending upon total funds raised and number of applications. Note: This is NOT strictly a 4-H scholarship program (like our Legacy of Leadership and Livestock Scholarships), but one that is provided for both 4-H and FFA members by the volunteers and donors who support the State Fair Jr. Horse Show.

    Applicants for state award consideration must be 15-18 years of age by September 1 of the 4-H program year in which they are applying.

    Open to members who have demonstrated mastery in the livestock area and plan to continue their education in the area of agriculture. Members must have been involved in the livestock project a minimum of three years.

    Offered to members who have demonstrated overall mastery and leadership in the 4-H program. You must have been a member for at least 5 years and attending either a 4-year university, community college, or trade school.

    McHenry County 4-H Youth Foundation is offering Scholarships to current 4-H members who have completed High School or are in their last eligible year of 4-H Membership. (4-H age 17 -18 as of September 1, 2017) These scholarships are made available because of a combination of funds to include those raised at the Annual String Tie Affair fundraiser dinner/auction. Awards are based on involvement, achievement, leadership, and the impact that 4-H has had on your life.

    Due to McHenry County Extension office by January 2, 2018. This award recognizes youth that have enrolled and demonstrated mastery in the 4-H Veterinary Science project for a minimum of three years. Open to youth who were 15-18 on Sept. 1, 2017. Applicants must be currently enrolled in the 4-H Vet Science project.
