Posted by John Fulton -

With the Logan County training and testing completed already, here are some clinics in surrounding counties for the remainder of the year:

Tazewell Co. on December 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. (ICC)

Tazewell Co. on January 8, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. (ICC)

DeWitt Co. on January 24, 2008 at 8:30 a.m.

Sangamon Co. on January 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.

McLean Co. on January 31, 2008 at 8:30 a.m.

Please contact the host site in advance for pre-registration and other particulars.

Due to cutbacks at the Department of Agriculture, you won't find evening sessions. You won't find clinics in adjoining counties in the same week either. Also, most counties only are offering one clinic because of the small number statewide to be re-tested. Tazewell Co. has two clinics, but they are hosting for a three county area.

University of Illinois Extension is charging a $30 training fee in addition to the Department of Ag license fee statewide. There is no fee to just take the test, and you may take the test in Springfield by appointment if you want to contact the Department of Agriculture at (217)785-2427.
