West Nile Virus Confirmed in Henderson County

Office talk this morning centered around the recent report in the Monmouth Review Atlas about mosquitoes in Henderson County (Oquawka) testing positive for the West Nile Virus.

The Monmouth Review Atlas article and the Extension Disaster Education Network West Nile Virus web resource (Figure) provide useful and timely information on the virus and the disease it causes, the mosquito vector that transmits the virus, and how best to protect yourself from acquiring the virus.
